Premiering October 9, 2009!

Luke has a message he wanted me to share with everyone. And since, well, he can't talk we wrote it out for him instead.
Matt and I are excited to welcome baby number two this fall! Our little munchkin should be making his/her appearance around October 9th.
We had our first ultrasound on Wednesday and everything looks good. We were able to see and hear the heartbeat which was so neat. So crazy that something that tiny has a little heart that is just a pumping! 154 beats per minute! God is sure creative (not to mention detailed, exact, wise and oh so amazing!)!

Trying to win Baby Bonanza Tickets

I'm trying to win 2 tickets to the Baby Bonanza Expo in Columbus. It would be kind of fun to go to. Not to mention it's being held right by Easton. Mmmm...Cheesecake Factory!

Happy Days Contest Winner!

Luke won the Happy Days Contest on WLIO NBC this morning with this picture! He won a $10.00 gift card to Happy Days. Good thing he likes cheeseburgers now. I like to think he won because he was the cutest picture they had, but I think it is just a random drawing. :) If you watch the 6:00 morning news on Channel 8/35 you should enter a picture at their website http://www.wlio.com/. Both times I have entered a pic I won that same week.

And since I think my little TV star is just so darn cute I'll also post the pic he won it with this summer. Levi and him taking a dip at Spring Lake this summer.

Don't you just want to squeeze his little chubbiness? Ok, I'll stop now. I'm being one of those "annoying" moms who goes on and on about their kid. Thanks for reading though!

Making Progress

I made progress today on some of my goals for 2009.

I worked on Luke's baby book for over an hour and found most of the pictures I want to put in it still. I got his last hospital bracelet taped in, along with a baggie from his first haircut. I filled out a few more sections in it to try and catch it up. I made a list of the monthly pictures for his calendar and found pics for his birthday scrapbook page. Geesh! I'm sure our future children will be lucky if they get one of these!

I also completed a few more blocks on my quilt and framed it for the next section. Almost done! Only 12 (I think) more blocks to quilt plus sewing the edge. I started this for Luke before I was even pregnant...it's taken me a little longer than expected. :)

It sure feels good to get these projects out and worked on. And who knows they might even be done before 2010!

Trying to win free chicken

I am entering a drawing to win 10 coupons for free Swanson's canned chicken. One of the ways to enter is to post about it on your blog. So here's the link if you are interested.

And here is my favorite recipe to use the chicken.

JALAPENO CHICKEN DIP
12 oz can chicken
1 can cream of chicken soup
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 c Parmesan cheese
jalapeno pepper, chopped (to taste, no seeds)
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Mix ingredients together and put in a shallow dish. Sprinkle more Parmesan on top. Bake at 350 until bubbly. Serve with Frito "Scoops".

Loving It!

Luke is napping.

Luke takes two 45 minute naps a day.

Luke has been napping for 2 hours and 21 minutes!

AMAZING!

(And for those of you wondering...yes, I did check on him and he is still breathing.)

Luke and Jordin

Here are the new cousins together for the first time. Luke was more interested in the cat than Jordin though. Although he did try to share his nonny with her. :)

Heading Out West...

Well not too far I guess. Luke and I are heading to Mishawaka for a few days to stay with my cousin Laura and her new little girl, Jordin Marie! I can't believe we need so much stuff!

Quote of the day...

"Life becomes so much simpler when there aren't so many costume changes."

A quote from Beth Moore in her Daniel study discussing integrity. I thought it was kind of funny and oh so true!

Malachi 3:16

Malachi 3:16
Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.

How neat that our "God conversations" are recorded in heaven.
