Riddles With Luke

Later in the day Luke was playing with Legos. He likes to build things or draw things and then have us tell him what they are. Lots of times he doesn't even know what they are, but I guess we're supposed to.

Anyways he built this one thing with his Legos and asked me what it was.

I guessed a train....no.
A boat....no.
A subway train..."what's a subway?"...uh...no.
A car...no.

Then he gave me a clue.

"It doesn't have wheels, but it drives."
(side note...I was really proud of him for coming up with a clue like that!)

I just couldn't get it, so he gave me another clue. "It knocks down old houses."

A bulldozer...no.
A crane...no.
A bobcat...no.

I give up.

"It's a Knocker Down, mommy!"

Oh...should have known.

Trucks With Chloe

Chloe was playing with some cars and trucks yesterday and wanted me to play with her. She doesn't normally gravitate to those so I was a little surprised.

When I got down on the floor to play I was instructed to drive the "daddy truck", the big black one with the trailer attached, to the "house", a basket tipped on it's side. Then we proceeded to unload the "kids", the two little cars that were riding on the trailer.

You can take the girl TOYS from Chloe, but you can't take the girl from her!

Three Month Pics

What We Do To Our Sons...

Luke, March of 2008.

Silas, December 2011

At least Silas's fit him. Although I know I laughed so hard when I put Luke in that snowsuit. It was mine when I was little and I knew mom would want to see a picture of him in it.

Gingerbread Playdough

The kids and I made gingerbread playdough early in December. It is wonderful! Makes my house smell like Christmas every time they play with it. It's soft enough that they can squish it down to cut "cookies" out of. Luke would always pretend to make "gluten free cookies" for Chloe, Silas and me. Sweet kid!

Mommy Questions

"Mommy, when the baby comes out...does your tummy pop?"

"What happens to your tummy when your baby comes out?"
"It gets smaller."
"Then can me and Chloe jump on it again?"
